MC 5 – GPS logistics device
MC5 is a product that has been developed for years in order to meet the needs both of the Bulgarian and international markets. MC5 is an intelligent multifunctional device, which is designed to satisfy any demand of your customers but not only to fill a certain market niche. It is an important part of the FIXY 4.0 Car Fleet Monitoring and Control System. The device has a built-in battery that ensures its long operation after the ignition is turned off. The GSM modem used is of excellent quality and parameters – Siemens MC39 I, and the GPS chipset is developed by Sony. There are 16 digital and analog inputs and outputs, in order to enable connection of a large number of peripherals to the device. It is possible to exchange data with a computer or other sophisticated equipment through the RS232 serial interface. There are displays, which are supplied and operate entirely through the device. Notwithstanding the serious hardware advantages, the greatest uniqueness of this device is related to the software and preconditions its intelligence. The device has a unique event recognition system and ability for extremely flexible response – changing modes and intervals of communication, sleep modes, buffering, etc. This way, through the proper preliminary settings, the device decides how to act in changing field conditions, what kind of connection to choose and how to behave. For example, in order to save on traffic when the ignition is off, it often switches into a SMS mode. When traveling abroad, special modes are applied to select the best network and usually it is preferred to buffer the information, which will be automatically sent on returning to the country. Records and dynamic changing of the information sent are made to minimize the data traffic.
